The Board
John Andreas Nissen
Director
John Nissen joined the Auspep Board in 2003. He has over 30 years of experience in stockbroking beginning his career with Geoffrey Webb & Co in Melbourne, which subsequently merged with Potters Partners, now a part of UBS Warburg. After international experience in London, Mr Nissen became a partner of McCaughan Dyson and Company for 5 years. During this time he was involved in the establishment of the corporate finance department at McCaughan Dyson that specialized in capital raisings and initial public offerings. Since 1989, John has been involved in the resort hospitality industry. He is the current chairman and director of two timeshare resorts in Australia with a combined ownership base of approximately 5,000 members. He is a director of State Development Fund Limited and Australian Regional Airports Pty Ltd and a minority shareholder of Auspep Holdings Ltd.
Christopher Chandler (PhD)
Managing Director
Chris Chandler joined Auspep in 1987 and the Board in 2003. He was awarded his Doctorate by La Trobe University in 1985. Specialising in Organic Chemistry he spent four years as a senior research fellow at both La Trobe University and the Victorian College of Pharmacy. He was appointed as Managing Director of Auspep in 1990.
Klaas Pool
Director
Mr. Pool worked as an investment banker in London and Amsterdam for over 30 years and was involved in many capitol raisings in Europe for Australian listed companies. He is a director of State Development Fund Limited.
Senior Management
James Finlayson (BSc Production)
Manager and Chromatography Team Leader
James Finlayson joined Auspep in 1990. He has extensive experience in all facets of peptide chromatography and amino acid analysis. He started his career at Auspep as a separations chemist and became Production Manager of Auspep in 2002.
Jane Yang (PhD Chemistry)
Team Leader
Jane Yang joined Auspep in 2005. She was awarded her doctorate by RMIT University in 2005, specialising in synthetic organic chemistry. She has extensive experience in all areas of manual and automated peptide chemistry. Jane commenced her career at Auspep as a senior chemist and currently holds the position of Chemistry Team Leader.
William Rule (BA App Sci)
Technical Assurance Manager
William Rule joined Auspep in 1992. He has extensive experience in both manual and automated peptide chemistry, amino acid analysis and chromatography. Graduating from the laboratory to a role in quality management in 1998, he has had training in internal auditing, OH&S management and database management. Bill has overseen the ISO9002:1994 Quality Management System and its successors ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 9001: 2008 for Auspep Pty Ltd. Since 2005 Bill has also been involved in the implementation and maintenance of the GMP systems as well as facilitating regulatory affairs.
